The outcome of an election is not cause to rethink a religion and Obama's success at the 2012 presidential election does not prove that the Mormon Church is false.
There are many occasions when followers of God have had outcomes that are not in line with their wishes or prayers. The reaction to such outcomes are a matter for those involved rather than outside observers. Similarly, the result of the election suggests a time of reflection and consideration by the Mormons. Such reflection is a matter for the church rather than a debate by those who are not associated with the church.

When Jesus was on the earth, he established His church and taught the gospel. He healed the sick, and raised the dead. He did much good while on the earth. However, He was crucified and died on a cross. Does that mean that the gospel of Jesus Christ is false? Does that mean that God does not care about His son? Was God not on His side?
Christ fulfilled His mission on earth, to be an example, to atone for the sins of the world, and to be crucified and resurrected that all mankind might be forgiven of their sins. His mission was not to live on earth teaching and blessing His people until he was 90 years old.
Mitt Romney's mission on earth was not to win the 2012 Presidential Election.
The Mormon Church (also know as the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints or LDS church) does not own the flying J travel centers. I would think that by buying them they would risk losing their tax exempt status as a church in the United States.
The Chruch of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints or better known as the Mormon Church is the richest. Hands down it has the most liquidity and cash on hand to spend at any time. The Catholic Church has a lot of assets but they don't have the residual income of the Mormon's tithing and they are losing the money war by the seconds.

His favourite baseball team is obviously the Houston Astros. He's cheered for them all his life. That's why he can take losing so much. He's cheered for a losing team so much, he's used to it.
If there are any gay clergy in the AME Zion Church, they must be closeted or risk losing their position.
