most likely a bad intake air control valve. could also be a bad fuel pump. the pump is the easiest to test open the gas cap and have someone stand next to it then another person turn the key to "on" NOT start. the person at the gas cap should hear a whine or a squeal this means the pump is MOST LIKELY GOOD. (this is not a 100% test.) the iac valve allows just enough air to pass to the engine when the throttle is closed. this is usually located on the throttle body itself. if not it is located some where on on the intake piping.
