Assuming that you aren't over-heating, check the fuel pump. My 1999 Taurus used to stall/ refuse to start when it was hot due to a faulty pump.

your torque converter has locked up.... it's like having a manual transmission with no clutch.
It may be out of oil, check your engine over for any damage and has it been in for a service lately.
Check you exhaust flow. It may be your catalitic convert is pluged.
Maybe a throttle positioning sensor? Is it hard to start? Does it start then stall?
If the oil is low in your car, it can eventually cause your car to stall and not start. It can also kill your engine.
