I think it could be your starter. Generally when it's cold, the starter mechanism gets stuck. This can happen if the starter is especially 7 years old or more. Good luck!!

Why won't the engine turn over when you try to start your 1989 Corolla?

Dead battery? Bad starter? Bad/dirty connections on battery cables? If you know the battery is good, you have to listen when the key is turned. if there is an audible "click" when you turn the key its mostlikely the starter.

What would make your 1996 Toyota corolla just click and not start?

probably a flat battery, but could be the starter motor has died.try jump starting it.

When you try to start your 1997 Toyota Corolla its just clicks what is wrong?

To give a generic answer, it kinda depends on what type of click. If it is a rapid click-click-click-click... it is probably a dead (or near dead) battery. If it is just one solid "click", it is probably your starter. The single click is the sound of the selinoid clicking in to try to engage the starter. If the starter is faulty, it won't engage and turn your engine over to start.

I get a single click from the starter but it will not crank what is my problem?

your battery is dead or the starter solenoid

Why would the ignition click but not turn over?

Dead battery, corroded or loose battery or starter cables, defective starter or starter solenoid, loose ground connection.

Why does your car battery click but not start?

Batteries don't "click," but other parts do. If you're hearing that "click," it's probably the starter solenoid trying to engage. Either the battery's charge is low, the starter solenoid has failed, or the starter motor itself has failed. On some older cars, especially Fords, the "click" could also be a remote starter relay.

What would make a '99 Chevy Suburban go click click click act like it has a dead battery when the key is in the ignition but NOT engaged and when the key is out of he ingiion it still does the click?

That clicking sound could be the sign of a weak, if not a totally discharged battery. Or, it could indicate a defective solenoid in the starter, or a defective bendix spring in the starter. If you are convinced that the battery is not the cause, I'd focus on the starter.

Why does click when starting changed battery?

If you know the battery and connections at the battery are good then it is more than likely a defective starter.
