Why would a 1998 Olds Regency Elite blower on the air conditioner blow Just part of the time?
Loose connection? Blower motor going bad-windings opening when they get hot loose fuse holder
Possibly. A bad blower motor resistor would cause the blower motor to either not function or function only on one speed (usually high speed). The air conditioning system is probably set up such that if the blower isn't functioning at all, the air conditioner won't function. Otherwise the air conditioner would overheat.
1993 MB 190E your air conditioner does not blow any kind of air you can hear the compressor kick in.What could be the problem?
Why would the air conditioner and heater blower only work sometimes and when the air conditioner does work it takes power away from the engine?
What would cause the air conditioner and or the heater to work on the high setting in a 2003 Ford Taurus but not on normal or low settings?
Defective blower motor. Although I do not know if this is the problem, I have seen this on other vehicles. Check into the blower motor resistor. RockAuto.com has them with great pictures so you know exactly what you are looking for. They are generally located close to the blower under the dash. Very easy fix just a couple of screws. Cheaper and easier than replacing the blower motor.
What if the AC on your 97 5.7L 4 door 4WD Tahoe blows very cold but does not blow powerfully even if it's set on high?
A vehicle air conditioner has two basic components; the compressor, and the fan, or blower. If the compressor is working, the air coming out of the vents will be cold, but if the blower is not working, the air will not come out very fast. Hot wire the blower to the battery, to bypass any fuses or switches, and see if the blower will run. If it does, but will not run when connected normally…
My 1994 Honda Accord's blower comes on only after hitting a bump Is it the relay or needs replacement?
Why would replacing radiator in 2002 Honda Accord 6-cylinder cause the ac blower fan to stop working inside car?
Why would the air conditioner blower on my 2001 Ford Expedition switch to defrost as I accelerate to 1800rpm?
If you have no blower speeds at all, first check the fuse. If the fuse is okay I would suspect the blower speed switch and its electrical plug has melted. If the switch checks okay I would suspect the blower motor is bad. If you have high speed only, I would replace the blower motor speed resistor. If you have all lower blower speeds but no high speed, replace the high speed relay.
I'm not sure of the year you're talking about, but in general this is pretty common with some newer GM's. I'm also assuming that you mean the blower isn't working with the lower speeds. I would probably take a look first at the blower switch to make sure it doesn't feel loose. What I'm really guessing is the blower resistor, however. The factory design on a number of these is kind of questionable and they…
It can be a number of things. First check the fuses then make sure the blower motor is operative. If all checks ok, take it to a garage. Let's not assume an a/c problem if the air is not blowing. This is usually due to a burnt out blower motor resistor. The various speeds of the blower are controlled by this resistor pack. It is cheap to replace and is usually located behind the heater/AC…
