I would say most likely would be the starter causing it. It could be a number of things. Try checking the easiest - battery cable to see if they are loose be sure not to damage the post on the battery and check the cable to the starter.Most vehicles we've dealt with the same problem were older.

When this problem came up with my dodge stratus my husband found that a fuse was blown. We changed our battery and it would not start for us either. but as soon as he fixed some wiring and changed the fuse it was fine.
