one or more of cylinders is not firing. or it may be firing randomly.
It would depend on the vehicle. If the vehicle has a carburetor, the pumping action primes the engine with fuel to help start the engine. If the vehicle has fuel injection, pumping is not required.
It could be a bad starter
a 1998 Tracker would be fuel injected and not have a carb.a 1998 Tracker would be fuel injected and not have a carb.
I would start by checking the fuel filter and fuel pump
i dont think a stalker tracker would work sorry
Sounds like an exhaust leak.
I would start by checking any leaks in your exhaust and fuel filter area, if there is any leaks throughout the exhaust the smell of gasoline or exhaust may come through into the interior.
i would check the wires, you might have a short to power which would keep the injectors open all the time.
My best thinknoodles tracker advice would be to use Club Penguin Insiders tracker because I met him through there
My 2003 Chevy Tracker would not restart when it was hot and finally would stall & not restart until it sat and cooled off for 10 minutes. It would crank but not start. We replaced the camshaft it solved the problem. It was located at the back of the engine, at the top and is held by just one screw.
Answer If I was having a problem with high cylinder pressure. I would start with checking for a restriction in the muffler. I would unscrew the muffler and take it off then recheck the compression. If it is still high then check to make sure that the exhaust valve is going up and down and that the exhaust valve port is not restricted. That is where I would start. Good luck.
yes nd it will also give of a oily smell with it
