check the fuel pump relay. relay is bad or computer is turning relay off. You should check as said above, the relay AND relay fuse ( under the hood right in front of the fuel pump relay ). You should also replace the fuel filter. If non of that works for ya, you might try replacing the fuel pump and strainer ( in the gas tank ). It COULD be the relay but more likely the fuel pump or the fuse is bad. Mine was the fuel pump and it was acting the same as you state. If I can help ya there , just let me know, been there done that ! Good Luck !
I had the same problem with a 98 transport 3.4L engine and tried a lot of troubleshooting and elimination items and by replacing the crankshaft speed sensor the problem was eliminated. Not saying that's the answer but if you get to scratching your head enough get someone to check it out for you to be sure
To restart a Jaguar after running out of gas, turn the key on and off a few times. Turning the key on will signal the fuel pump to pump gas into the carburetor.
I would check your Ignition Module. That's the first place to look.
Cycle the ignition switch on and off several times pausing briefly in the on position. This will prime the fuel system.
This is a tough one as it could be a number of things related to either fuel delivery, (ie bad pump) or ignition related issues. In my case, my '98 S70 started to intermittenly stall while driving. Sometimes it would restart, other times it would not. After weeks of trying to diagnose, I had my mechanic make a 'road call' the last time it stalled & would not restart. Turned out to be the ignition module which he replaced & car is running great now
Either manually pump fuel into the fuel filter (as in, do this several hundred times), or pour some diesel fuel directly into the fuel filter.
If theres not a off position on the switch, check to see if theres a manual override button. just below the head light switch there is a little round button push it 3 to 4 times and it will shut the automatic running lights off and will not come back on untill you do it again or shut the vehicle off and restart the engine...
had same problem with my probe stalling whilst driving after stopping short spell and would then restart. answer was located in immobilizer circuit which cut in at wrong times only cure was to have immobilizer disconnected.
Try smacking the gas tank with a mallet a few times. If the truck starts right up, you'll know its the fuel pump.

Restart the level 3 times (by pressing the restart button) and the door will automatically open. See related link for screenshots.
