The stock adjustment for the Polaris 500 Ranger carburetor is approximately 1/8 turn off of the locked position. The adjustment changes slightly depending on altitude and weather.Ê

Running current. The locked rotor amps are only seen at initial start up which only lasts a fraction of a second to one or two seconds.
Try and turn the Impreza engine over by hand. The engine could be locked up and not let the starter turn it over.
You simply put in the code and the doors unlock - regardless of whether it's running or not.
if it won't start at all after running it could be vapor locked. try opening the gas cap for a minute and see if that works.

I would say that you seized the engine by running it too long without enough oil in the crankcase. The reason the starter just clicks is that the engine is locked up, and when you try to start it, the engine cannot turn over.
the best way to know is remove serpentine belt then try to turn engine by hand by using the crankshaft pulley bolt
Adjustment may be under the handle between seats or under vehicle where cables meet Bring up to 3 "clicks" and rear wheels should be "locked" at this position
Adjustment should either be at the junction of cables under vehicle or just below the handle between seats -- set to 3 clicks adjust so wheels a locked at this point
An easy way to answer this is to be in the car with the car running and press the central locking button.
