Well even if the oil is still good and you just changed it, low oil pressure means that there is not enough oil. If that is indeed the problem (and you can check this with the oil dip stick) then just put more oil in it and the problem will go away. If that is not the problem, then you may have an oil leak which could be just about anywere, so if putting more oil in does not fix it, then take it to a shop and most places will find out what is wrong free of charge, although they will charge to fix it.
I HAVE THIS PROBLEM ON AUDI A4 2004 PLATE, IM CONVINCED THAT IT IS CAUSED BY EXHAUST BLOWING AS IVE HAD IT SERVICED RECENTLY
Can be improper level.
re: 04 Envoy - my service 4wd light came on in the middle of a 10" blizzard. I researched it and took it to Jiffy Lube and had the front & read differential fluids changed. Light went off and has stayed off. Now my "service engine" light keeps coming on - I'm concerned that I may have a crack in the gas tank as I have read many many other Envoy owners have experienced.
I am not showing a 2010 GMC Envoy...do you mean 2009
The procedure is in the manual. Turn the ignition to the on position, fully depress the accelerator 3 times within 5 seconds, then turn the ignition and start the truck. The light should flash then go off. www.trailvoy.com All the answers for your Envoy or Trailblazer!
Hopefully you mean the "change engine oil" light and not he oil pressure light. Turn the key to the on position (do not start it), within 5 seconds press the accelerator to the floor 3 times. The change engine oil light should flash several times then go out. Who ever changed the oil should have done that for you.
The 2003 GMC Envoy brake light lamp is a 3157. See sources and related links below for more information on bulbs.
Tail light assembly short
That's not a check engine light. That's an everything light. Including low oil pressure. ?The oil you put in recently is of an effective lower viscosity than what was previously run? Try thickening the oil.
The low pressure light kept beeping at random times, usually upon deceleration after the vehicle had been operating at highway speeds for a while. An oil change to a heavier oil (20w50, we had recently put in 5w30), and the oil pressure light hasn't come on since.
To reset the service engine soon light on a 2004 GMC Envoy you can remove the ECU fuse. ECU stands for electronic control unit.
I had the same problem on my 2005 Outlander. Oil pressure light turned on erratically when the motor was hot and I was on idle. Mitsubishi repaired it on guarantee, the oil pressure switch was defective, they changed it. JJ
