From your ex's perspective, he simply wanted out of the relationship, and he felt he would receive the least amount of fallout by just dropping all contact rather than explaining his reasons to you and having to deal with your feelings about it.
Since he's no longer worth your time, stop contacting him and ignore any contacts of his. cause you will get the picture that he doesnt want you..............................
