Men aren't as emotionally entangled regarding making love and after the act. Women get very emotional (nothing wrong with that) and feel "as one" while many men love the whole sensation of the act (doesn't mean they don't love you.) There is nothing wrong with him not phoning you the next day or every waking moment of his time, but if the weekend comes close and he hasn't asked you out (to actually take you somewhere nice) then I'd say it's an act of selfish love and I'd let him know where you stand.
