No. Insects do it by natural selection. The pesticides kill the less resistant and the more resistant go one to produce more resistant off-spring. This would only work for humans if several generations were exposed. Eventually we would get there but probably not in the time frame you are considering.
An example sentence for pesticides would be...I watched the farmer put pesticides on his plants so it would kill insectsOr something like that!Don't pesticides kill insects?
GM crops having disease resistant genes hence they are resistant to disease and pests so they not need more use of pesticide.
Some of the pesticides sprayed on farm crops wash off in the rain and get into the waterways. The water plants absorb the pesticides.
They believe it will better protect the environmentThey don't understand the process EPA uses to approve pesticides, so they fear the pesticidesThey don't really know what pesticides areThey are more willing to believe what some celebrity says than real scientistsThey don't understand that pesticides are what makes our food supply so bountiful
Chemical fertilizers and herbicides cost money. Spraying the edge of a field where the crops are not growing would be a waste of resources. In the case of fertilizers, spraying the edge of the field would benefit only the growth of natural weeds and hedgerows.
Yes, I believe we do need pesticides. A pesticide is a substance used for destroying insects or other organisms which are harmful to plants and animals. Without pesticides some foods will not be able to grow and most countries would then, as a result, starve to death. If the pesticides were not there to use with animals, I am sure some species of animal would face extinction. I guess pesticides help prevent poverty, in a way. Without it, I am sure that we would soon suffer the consequences.
hmmm. Sort of. Pesticides are used to allow plants to survive the onslaught of insects that would otherwise kill the plant of leave it to weak to bear reasonable fruit. Pesticides are also used to kill insects that carry disease. When DDT was made illegal, for example, malria cases increased because we could not control insects as well.
The gardeners and farmers usually turn the soil near the base of the plant, so that air and water circulation would be efficient for the roots of the plants.

Pesticides are toxic and are good for killing. They have been proven to be bad for humans for a long time. The most well known example of this is DDT (banned in the U.S. since 1972) wich has been linked to neurological problems, diabetes, asthma, and is a know carcinogen. Here is a link with more info why pesticides are bad; http://www.green-blog.org/2010/05/19/5-reasons-why-pesticides-are-bad/ The difference between plants grown for food and plants grown for clothing is the pesticides for food is regulated and must be approved for human consumption. This means farmers can use almost anything they want to grow cotton. The cotton industry uses more pesticides than any other crop. It takes approximately 1/3 of a pound of pesticides to grow enough cotton for one conventional tee shirt, these pesticides go into the ground water are carried down wind, are found in acid rain and are ingrained in the fibers. Life would certainly be very different. Without DDT in previous wars, we would have possibly seen very different outcomes. Far fewer humans would be alive today because malaria and other very nasty plagues would be rampant. Food would be far less attractive. Your apples would have worms, your tomatoes would be very small and all food would be far more expensive. The invention of pesticides was one of the turning points for all mankind. Without these chemicals, man would be far less abundant and far less healthy.
