Mine did something the same. Above the transmission hump just to right of accelerator, there is a servo motor connected to a plastic and metal slide mechanism which selects where airflow is directed. Likely that slide or servo motor has let go.
You probably have a jammed or otherwise defective vent door.
vacuum leak?
Vents are uaually operated by vacuum. Chances are, you have a vacuum leak at the directional valve or at the back of the air controller itself. All of these are in or under the dash. Good luck.
probally closed or clogged
sounds like you do not have your superheat or sub-cooling tds correct. if so it would remove the moisture at the evaporator and not your interior duct vents
same thing with my 99 yukon.. probably the u joint or the front drive shaft might be loose..
Steam may be coming out the air conditioning unit if the engine is overheating. The best thing to do would be to shut the vents before any hazardous fumes begin to come out.
Just heater outlets for the rear area. If you were to remove the console assembly which hides the engine cover, you would see a duct running from the top to beneath the floor. It feeds the vents you mentioned.
Without testing a guess would be a blend door or actuator or maybe a control problem
The Yukon River runs through Canada & Alaska all the way out to the Bering Sea.
Unless someone peeded into your inlet vents, next guess is are you a smoker??
The flap that directs sir to the selected vents is jammed or broken...or the switch that controls it is.
