Thankfully, the human race has diverse individuality. The religion "family" does its best in conforming society to its beliefs but individuals are able to form their own belief system though experience and education.

Why do some people not want to believe Darwin?
Although the evidence for evolution by natural selection is widely regarded as overwhelming, many people, because of their religious upbringing find it difficult to accept.
Why did Europeans believe in superstitions?
Possibly because they were religious. People who are not religious do not normally believe in superstitions.

Because they, like all religious people, are delusional and believe in an imaginary friend.

They are always worried about dieng and not going to heaven, trust me i am non-religious. It's not only non religious people who suffer. But, maybe, if you believe they do, it's because there is no God that look after them, because they do not believe in any God. Also, I think that maybe non religious people THINK they suffer, because they, unlike religious people, do not have a God to trust in. If they did, maybe they would not find their sufferings as difficult and would not claim that 'only non religious people suffer'.

Because everyone is different, some people are religious and some people are not, If you are not religious and preffer the belief of science and hard facts with proof then you will not believe in God or the Devil, it is freedom of choice!

well, some people believe in superstition because they actually believe it or they heard from a friend/family. And others don't believe in superstition things because they might be religious or just don't think it's true.
