According to http://www.installdr.com/Harnesses/GM-Wiring.pdf the connector for the rear speakers is separate from the front speakers. If the connector for the rear speakers is loose or disconnected, the rear speakers would not work while the front ones will. The amp in the head unit (dashboard radio) powers the front door speakers. The rear door speakers and roof (pillar) speakers in the rear are powered by a second amp under the drivers seat. Either this amp is bad or is not hooked up.
There is a relay to your power antenna that signals the Factory preamp to turn on thus sending power to your rear speakers. If you look in your trunk and the wiring to the power antenna if you short these out your speakers will come on.
In the one of the cubby holes in the boot, its in the sub plastic box.
ive had the same problem. my rear speakers are heat senritive. they only work when the sun is shinning down. dont understand why this happens tho.
how would you remove the rear speakers to a cadillac sedan deville 1990.
it is possible that the rear channels for those speakers went bad internaly in the radio.just hook up the rear speaker cords to the front channels to see if it s on the speaker side or internal.
If both front speakers are not working, then either the fade control is set to rear speakers only, or the front speaker plug has fallen out - very unlikely. Check the fade control, first. Or, I suppose a particularly loud blast of music could blow both speakers at once . . .
The Audi A4 platform with some radio systems had the radio power the two front speakers. The rear speakers were powered by an amplifier which is actually attached to the speaker with all of these wires that you see. I know in my 1999 Audi A4 car without the bose package this was the setup. The wires are for audio, power for the amp, radio turnon signal, etc. Some of the newer audi's I believe still use this type of a setup but I do not know exactly which ones.
Signal lights staying on withot flashing indicates either front or rear signal bulb not working on the Audi
The speakers that fit in a 2003 Celica would likely be speakers that are 4 inches. This is the size for the front, and you will have 6.5 inch speakers in the rear.?æ
