The check gauges light comes on when one of the guages is out side of the safe zone. It could be battery voltage, oil pressure, engine temp....
i had the exact same problem with our 91 voyager, i cleaned the battery terminals and the problem went away immediately

check for unhooked vacuum lines
Check for a broken cv shaft, if not check trans fluid for debris.
check if there is a fuse box under your hood. That's where mine is but it is a 97.
if you disconnect the battery for at least 5 minutes then reconnect it ,it will reset the check engine light
check your crank sensor it might need to be adjusted or replaced
The tire size for a 1990 Plymouth Voyager van is P195/75R-14. At least that is what mine came with. I currently have P205/70R-14 installed. Check the tag on the Drivers door for the original size installed on yours.
After reading the code, and repairing the codes, you reset code with a scan tool.
