Why would the horn honk whenever you stop and park on a Nissan Pathfiner?

Mine did this too, the alarm system would arm itself after a minute or so but not lock the doors, it was kind of frustrating at first especially if I was getting right back in and the alarm would go off, but then I kind of liked it because if I forgot to set the alarm it would still go off if someone opened the door.
