You may be referring to the "service reminder" light which comes on automatically every 7,500 miles to remind you to change oil, etc. Check your owner's manual. It should tell you how to re-set it. If that is not the problem - you will need to take the vehicle to a shop and have the diagnostic code "read" to see if it shows any trouble faults.

What does maintenance required light is red on a 96 Honda accord ex?

There are several reasons this could occur. The first option would be that the oil is low or perhaps the transmission fluid is low.

Why would the engine light go on your 2007 Toyota corolla?

Depends on which light you are referring to. The "Check Engine" light comes on when there is a problem with the emissions system. The "Maintenance Required Light" comes on when scheduled maintenance is required as outlined in your owners manual.

Just got 62K on an 02 Civic. Maintenance required light just came on. What can be the problem?

The maintenance required light comes on aeveryfew thousand miles. After you get an oil change the mechanic is supposed to reset that for you. I would take it back and have it done, or google it and do it yourself.

How do you turn off maintenance light on a Honda Accord EX 2003?

If you are talking about the maintenance required light, push the odo reset button and hold while turning the ignition to the on position, hold for 10 seconds, do not start the engine. Now if you are talking about the check engine light, take it to the dealer, it's under warranty. What happened they forget to give you an owner's manual. I know you don't have one or you would have just opened it looked this info up.

Why would the maintenance required light be on after 75000 miles in a 2001 Honda Accord that is running fine?

Mine is an older model but I had same issue. The maintenance required light is on a sensor so it changes after a set number of miles. It's to remind you to take your car in for an oil change and things like that. It's factory set, typically; there's probably nothing wrong with your car if you've had an oil change in the past few thousand miles; if not, take it in, it can't hurt. To turn it off (this is based off of my model and I'm unsure if it would be the same for yours) there is a little hole looking thing in the dashboard glass cover/window[around your speedometer and the maintenance light.] Put the tip of the key into the hole and push a little; the light should reset.

What other reason besides an oil change would make the maintenance required light come on in a 2007 Toyota camry?

Maintenance required is not triggered by any kind of problem. It's pre-programmed to go off when you drive 5k miles. It's just a reminder that you need to maintain your car. Service required is triggered by malfunction.

How do you reset maintenance light 2003 Honda Element?

Here is how you reset it on an Accord so I would think it would be the same on an Element. Push and hold the odometer reset button while at the same time turning the ignition on without starting the engine. After 5 seconds the light will reset.

How would I get the engine light off in a 2001 Honda civic coupe?

I have a 2001 DXG and had the same issue. For me it was the maintenance required light so I don't know if that's what you need or not. It means it needs an oil change or whoever did the last oil change forgot to reset the light. There is a certain machine that can reset the light, most mechanic's have them. If you can't find anybody with the machine I suggest you ask next time you go for an oil change. Hope this helped you!

Why does the maintenance required button come on 2001 accord?

Mine always came on when it was due for an oil change. I have a 1999 ex v6 coupe with the 3.0 liter motor. I assume the maintenance light would come on at regular intervals regardless of the motor, however.

What does it mean when the maintenance light of a 1991 Honda Accord is on?

The maintenance light on all early model hondas have three stages. Green, orange and then red. This light only serves as a reminder to change your oil, air filter and to do other routine maintenance. If you were to service the vehicle and not reset the light it would just stay on. It changes color by miles. It's green when it is reset and as you drive it will eventually change to orange and then red regardless of any services done to the vehicle. To reset look on the instrument panel for a slot near the light and insert your key this will change it back to green.

What does 2008 Honda Odyssey maintenance code B124 mean?

You would need to look it up in the owner manual.

Yellow Engine light 2003 Honda accord is on why?

It means that your car is due for maintenance such as an oil change. It's more of a "reminder" than a warning that something is horribly wrong. If something was mechanically wrong with your car the actual "Check Engine" LIGHT would be on. Hope that helps!
