Because they often only interacted with a small group so there was no need for a last name. If the needed to give more information they would most likely tell their fathers name. Also usually their parents would have been poor too so they may have not know their last name either.
If they were born on the street, they probably wouldn't know their last name because their parents didn't know it. Unless of course their parents do know the last name.ANS2:Poor people would have a limited group with whom they interacted so they would not necessarily need to identify themselves because everybody would know everybody. If they needed to clarify who they were because of relocation they would usually add their father's name, their occupation or the geographical place name of where they lived. Well, It depends like if you want the name to sound rich or poor so I'm going to show you both :) ex: [Poor] (First name) Maggie (Last name) Dall ex: [Rich] (First name) Deeana (Last Name) Riccitorri I am wealthy, and I dont really get it when people say "rich people names" in like a category its very... like disrespectful. But, even though I dont like putting names or people in a category, I guess I like "Rich Names" better than "Poor names" because they are more fun to play around with. SO.... Rich Names: Kendra Vauncleigh Ashley Saunders Victoria Hayworth Paula Gucci Felishia Benccini Donna Carkanaon Deeana Riccitorri Okay well, I could go on and on but these were just a few :)
