The problem would be in the linkage for the window or the run channel. It would be good to replace the run channel and lubricate ALL of the linkage. An auto trim shop will have run channel. Mine did that on my 93. I took off the door panel, took the three screws that held motor out. And found the motor gears shreaded. Went to AutoZone and for 40 bucks bought a new motor in stock. Plugged it in, put the bolts in, and lubed the gears. And in about an hour had the window working. =) Good luck!
