Why would their be a sqeaking noise going from reverse to 1st gear to second gear then second gear to first gear then to reverse the other gears dont squeak each shift is smooth its a 2004 celica gts?

Well, I really don't know, but my 2003 GT has the same problem from 1st to 2nd. I've tried WD-40 on the lever mechanism and it doesn't seem to have any effect. The squeak is still there, and nothing else has happened, since nothing has broken I have just let it be!
