Some day we might not be able to live on Earth. So we are preparing a "Plan B" to live on Mars. There have been plans for living on the Moon, Venus and the Space Station.
The soil structure of Mars appears to be similar to that of Earth, so with a water source, it would be possible to grow food on that planet. Since it is relatively close to the Earth, it would be feasible for it to be a crop growing planet to feet the Earth. Stranger Things have happened.
