Through several experiments and tests, it's quite evident that Global Warming is happening. The sea level is rising, the temperature is rising, the percentage of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere has GREATLY increased, and the ice caps are melting. Everything is pointing to disaster, and that disaster is Global Warming.
A:I respect the scientific opinion on this. Most climate scientists say that there is no doubt that global warming is happening and that we are contributing to that change.

What would happen if global warming was not happening?
We could keep on burning fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas). The air would be full of pollution and dust. As coal and oil eventually run out we will be desperately trying to dig up and mine even our most beautiful National Parks and Heritages. We will be digging into Antarctica looking for oil. All our forests will have gone, destroyed to make paper and boxes, or burnt to keep us warm.

Why is it important to know global warming?
It is important to know about and understand global warming so that we can understand the important decisions political leaders are making to abate global warming. Unless we really understand what is happening and the risks involved in allowing global warming to continue, we risk being misled by those with vested interests, who would have us believe either that global warming is not real or that it is real but there is nothing we can do. If we know about global warming, we also understand what we can do to help. We will understand that everything we do to reduce our electricity consumption will help, and we will understand that reducing our petrol or gasoline consumption is another way to help.
