Check hard vacuum line to Map sensor, just below coils at back of intake manifold.
It can be the dimmer switch. It needs to be checked out./ A test light will check for voltage.
Have the ignition module checked out
MY 1993 CORSICA 3.1 L, HAS STOPPED RUNNING ON ME NOW 5 TIMES OVER THE LAST 8 YEARS AND EACH TIME IT HAD BEEN ONE OF MY COIL PACKS, THEY LOCATED THEM UNDER THE EXHAUST PIPE AND THE HEAT WEARS THEM OUT, WORTH A TRY! OTHERWISE JOIN ALLDATA.COM FOR ALL THE ANSWERS ON THE CORSICA. HOPE THIS HELPS. What is said above is true, but also, under the ignition coils is the ignition module. The heat does the same thing to this electrical brain, and can cause it to die/not run as well.
Try changing the fuel filter.
On the back of the trans. There should be a vacuum line running to it.
ignition switch?? ignition module is on distributor, and is under the dist cap, remove the dist cap and rotor bug, it pulls off, then if it was not running you can remove the little black box, its a module, have it checked at autozone for free, take coil off top of dist cap, is as easy as removing the screws, and replacing unit. reassemble it.
There are none. Ignition timing is not adjustable. Ignition timing and spark advance are handled by the engine controller module and the ignition control module, with inputs from various sensors. The engine controller is located by the passenger kick panel. The ignition controller is the thing the ciol pack mount on...it runs about $110 new. The ignition controller is often the cause of rough running, or idle problems as the spark advance function tends to crap out on this model of DIS ignition. Producing a constant error code, and therefore a constant check engine light.
Depends if you have the ignition running or just the say you left the lights on. If you just left the ignition on all night nothing will happen except just running out of fuel. If you left your lights on without ignition running your battery will die.
29s here, while i havent had that problem with my corsica the shop that i work for has had many and usually with no spark its the ignition module which sits underneath the coils. this part is a common (COMMON BUT NOT DEFINITE) cause for running rough and no spark within 3.1/2.8 and all older gm engines. try replacing that and your coils see if that gives you spark if not you may need an ignition control module (THE COMPUTER) or have a shorted wire to the module somewhere.
Have your ignition module and switch checked. I had the same problem and that was the answer.
99 jeep Cherokee Laredo stay running after turn off the ignition switch?
Have you had it checked for a leak?
