There are several reasons why a Toyota's warning lights may come on. The lights may come because there is a problem with the engine, low oil, or even bad brakes.
There are numerous features that come standard on a Toyota Prius. Some of the features that come standard on a Toyota Prius are light-emitting diode headlights, the smart key system, and anti-lock disc brakes.
X-runner's don't come with rear disc brakes. Only 4wd I think and those are 6 lug instead of 5
Check the brake light bulbs, one of them may not be installed correctly.
Disc brakes may have been an option but it would normally come stock with drum brakes.
Check the brake fluid reservoir. If it is low, the light will come on notifying you that the brakes need to be serviced.
The 1990 Toyota pickups did come standard with an anti-lock brake system or ABS. New parts for this system may be purchased at various auto-part stores or through the Toyota dealership.
Once you get your brakes off, I would use a screwdriver to loosen the brake drum. It should come off easily after that.
You may have a bulb that that brunt a element which than crossed the other element cause all lights to come on a one time. I have seen this before. If this does not light all bulbs when the brakes are applied, then I would be looking in the front lights, if it does I would look in the back lights.
