Its as they say- better safe than sorry-
you should ALWAYS be prepared for any kind of natural disaster
especially if you live in areas which are known for - say earthquakes- or anything of that sort.
but afcourse, even if you dont live in that kind of area you should realize that common things like fires can happen in almost anyplace. so you can kind of keep your house ready for anything.
but you dont have to be all frantic about it either- just make sure you do the following basic things and youre good to go!-
1. make sure the house your living in is earthquake proof.
2. put a lightning conductor on your house- if u live in an appartment that is.
3. make sure you know that you are not living on limestone based areas which are likely for sinkholes to happen there.
4. keep a small breifcase with photocopies of pasports,all legal documents, a water bottle, some un-expiring snacks(nutrious afcourse), a change of cloths-optional- and flashlights and an inexpensive cell phone, and a first aid kit somewhere near the door or in a handy area.
5. make a plan with kids as to where to meet, how to get out of the house ect in ccase of fires.
dont keep hevy things high on shelves incase of earthquakes.
thats all!
youre pretty much prepared for natural disastors.
afcouse you can always take extras measures too but these are just basics!
