To prevent the horizontal line from appearing when you hold down the shift key, you can adjust the keyboard settings on your device. This can typically be done by going into your system preferences or settings and looking for the keyboard options. There, you should be able to adjust the key repeat delay to reduce the likelihood of accidentally triggering the line when holding down the shift key.
