If you store your car in a garage, your car may be picking up a gasoline smell from a near by gas can or gas appliance that clears out after you drive it. Also, if there is something spilled in the car that smells similar to gas, the fumes may build up in the car when the windows are closed, then dissapate when the car is driven (windows open or fan on or air otherwise recirculated).

New answerAs to your intermittent brake light, check the brake fluid level in the reservoir. Also, check that the rubber diaphragm in the lid has'NT ballooned-out (sometimes happens after a hard-braking episode w/low fluid level). Hope this helps....BB

If it is only at the start of the day and disappears shortly after startup, it is just condensation in the exhaust that is burning off. Pretty normal, especially in cold or rainy weather.

Startup programs are programs that are started when you boot up your computer. To select what programs you do or do not want to open at startup you will need to search for and open the 'msconfig.exe' file. Once 'msconfig.exe' is open, click on the Startup tab, you will see a list of programs. From this list you can select or deselect what programs should open at startup.

White smoke from the exhaust is a symptom of moisture in the combustion chamber. If you see it after that initial startup, then suspect a blown head gasket. A compression test will verify this.

User Avatar

is there a sweet smell? Does the coolant level drop in the overflow tank and/or the radiator? if so, you might be looking at a bad head gasket. if there is slight white smoke(usually condensation) and no loss of coolant, then it is normal. once the engine (and exhaust system) gets hot, there should be no more smoke.

Goto Windows defender and then goto software explorer. Make sure the drop down box at the top says "startup items." Here, you can prevent items from running on startup. Alternatively, goto start, then run, then type "msconfig", without the quotes. Then, goto the startup tab. Be careful not to stop any important startup items, though.
