The alternator is probably not working so you are running only on battery power. As the battery drains the engine loses power and will not restart if you shut it off. Have your local auto parts store test the charging system and the battery.
make sure the terminals are clean and the wires aren't damaged.
Press the power switch in the right
Check the 92 Camaro neutral safety switch next. If the switch is faulty then the starter will not get power to start the engine.
Is the selenoid getting power when the switch is turned to the start position? If yes, it's not a switch problem. Is power coming THROUGH the switch and to the starter when the key is turned to start? If not, it's a selenoid problem. If yes, it's a starter problem.
sounds like you need to replace power window master switch
The start wire (Purple, if stock) is becoming 'heat resistive' from age. Replace the start wire. The power supply wire is becoming heat resistive from age, check and or replace the power supply to the switch. You can install a bypass switch, or high load relay under the hood as well (a ford solenoid works well for that).
1998 Ford Ranger will have power when I turn the key, sometime no power, why? Then I can wait and some power comes back, changes back and forth. Defective Ignition Switch
I would expect that the power for the fuel pump would be supplied through the ignition switch so I would start there, that is check the ignition switch.
I am going to ignore your poor grammar skills on this one, but here is the answer. You first start on a low power to locate the specimen or bacteria. Then you switch to a high power to get a better look at it. Hope this helps.
From Ignition switch run/start position terminal.
NO, there is no coalition between the ignition switch and the transmission. The ignition switch does 2 things. Turns on power to the electrical system for the engine and supplies power to the starter during start-up.
Use a test light or a multi-meter to check for power going through the switch when it's depressed or for ohms depressed.
