Question that comes to minds here, is did this car start before the plugs were changed?

The mere changing of the spark plugs is not the "miracle cure" for all car starting problems. There are other things like the fuel pump, the starter motor, the battery, the fuel lines, the fuel pump, the fuel injectors, the distributor system, gas in the tank, etc.
