Most likely your router is not powerful enough. Check router's options if you can increase power.
Also if you have concrete walls with metal frame it will interfere with the signal.
In some cases disturbance from wireless phone or other electric equipment can limit the signal.

Ok I'm new to the website and don't know how to "quote" to this comment, but my sister has the exact same laptop and it works with hers.

As with so many questions here, the first word of the answer could be "Depends". In this case it depends on what you mean by "wired". If the wire you refer to is the one that comes into the house from the street, you could have a WiFi router attached to that wire so that you could use WiFi enabled PCs in any room of the house. If "wired" means that the router is connected to your PC with a Cat5 cable, or wire, then no you are not using WiFi. The PC could still be WiFi enabled but with no WiFi connection to the router you can't use the facility.
Try moving your WiFi router. The signal could be too weak or there could be thick walls, thick floors, or other things in the way.
Not at the WiFi plaza. The WiFi plaza is about playing games and talking to people around the world. You can only trade eggs in the Union Room.
Yes but only if you have wifi.
The transmitter on your average wifi router isn't terribly strong. Things like walls (especially brick or concrete) or even heavy furniture can weaken the signal. For best results put your wifi router up high, in a second story room or attic if you can. Failing that, a high shelf sometimes helps.
Yes, But you have to pay for in room wifi!
No, but you have to be close to it. You have to be within the router signal.
If trading over wifi: Make sure your ds is connected to the router. If trading with somebody: Add them to your pal pad, get them to do the same. Both go into the centre room upstairs in pokemon centre. One talk to the other inside the room and trade. GTS/GTS nego: Top right in pokecenter. Log into wifi and it's straight forward. Wireless: Top left in pokecenter. Talk to each other in the room
The only way to get a friend code is to go in the union room in the Pokemon center and use wifi with a friend and it willask do you want to exchange friend codes and say yes
Unless you can find room in the phone to add an wifi card and can hack the software to make it compatible, no.
I want to put my xbox360 in my room to play on xbox live. Right now it is in my living room because my t.v needs the router to be connected. So if i got another router and put it in my room can i connect it to my xbox.
To set up a router in one room and a desktop in another, first connect the router to your internet source (like a modem) using an Ethernet cable. Then, use another Ethernet cable to connect the router's LAN port to the desktop in the other room. If running a cable is impractical, consider using a wireless connection by connecting the desktop to the router's Wi-Fi network. Finally, make sure to configure the router's settings through its web interface for optimal performance.
