I don't think you will have enough wheel clearance for 20". I also don't believe the transmission will hold up under the extra weight of the 20". I suggest going with 17" or 18" max.
Yes
Yes, of course 20inch rims will fit on a 05 Taurus with no problems. 225/35/20 tires or simliar sizes. rims 20x7 or 20x 7.5
Yes I just sold some 20 inch blades off my 2002 ford taurus. My boyfriend just installed some lifters he bought from autozone very inexpensive.
20 inch rims will fit with a low profile tire,22's may fit but u may have to shave part of the front bumper and tires may rub the back wheel whale
no
I have seen some Guys put 22'" max on the Taurus, but I wouldn't recommend it due to weight, and I believe it will cause transmission issues. I think the max I would go is 20", but as a Taurus owner I am going with 18" to be safe.
no. major supension modification would have to be done. twenty's fit, but rub some even with a low profile tire. On a 02 Taurus, 20inch rims will fit with no rubbing or modifications. 235/35/20. been on for 3yrs with no rubbing.(railroad tracks, speed bumps, extra passengers)
