You can fit twenty two inch rims on a Taurus with some major modifications. you need to have the inner wheel wells removed and you need to get special adapters to fit the rims on the factory hubs.

I have seen some Guys put 22'" max on the Taurus, but I wouldn't recommend it due to weight, and I believe it will cause transmission issues. I think the max I would go is 20", but as a Taurus owner I am going with 18" to be safe.
no,2002 rims are 16 inch.2006 rims are 17 inch in 2005 ford replaced the f250s brake discs with bigger discks the smallest size that will fit is a 17 but in 02 ford offered the 17" rims as an option.
Taurus and Sable have their own sized rims from 96 to 2001. Other Taurus rims and Tempo and Windstar rims will not fit.
