Yes; He is ever merciful to the repentant sinner.

This is what the Bible says in Psalm 103:

8. The LORD [is] merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

9. He will not always chide: neither will he keep [his anger] for ever.

10. He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our

iniquities.

11. For as the heaven is high above the earth, [so] great is his mercy toward them that fear him.

12. As far as the east is from the west, [so] far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

13. Like as a father pitieth [his] children, [so] the LORD pitieth them that fear him.

14. For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we [are] dust.

Roman Catholic AnswerActually, you need to do a lot more than "feel sorry" for your sins. As a matter of fact, how you "feel" has little to nothing to do with whether God will forgive you or not. God is extremely merciful to us in this life, and He is patient - to a point. But, to have your sins forgiven, you must have contrition, which is the act or virtue of sorrow for your sins, NOT "feeling" sorry for them. The act of contrition is a free decision involving detestation of and grief for sins committed and also a determination not to sin again. This detestation is an act of the will that aims at past sinful thoughts, words, deeds, or omissions. A valid contrition is internal, supernatural, universal, and sovereign. So it is not just about the past but the future. It has nothing to do with feelings. (abstracted from Modern Catholic Dictionary.

How do you say your sorry to your ex for braken there heart?

It may help to just say it, if you feel like it would make them feel better then tell them you're sorry if you think it would make them feel like crap then don't say anything. It's up to them whether they will forgive you or not, if it's just really eating at you because you were wrong for what you did, explain that you feel that it was your fault. Either way if you say you're sorry and they don't forgive you, then atleast you will feel better because you tried to make it right.

Screwed up with a girl badly is it possible to fix it. I do not wish to say what i did. Lets just say i screwed up extremely Bad?

You should admit what you did wrong and say that your sorry and that you care for her. Beg her to forgive you and do something for her like get her roses or a sorry bear or anything that might make her feel better. If none of this works and she still hasn't forgiven you then maybe you just werent meant to be together. Dont be sad if it doesnt work...love is hard.

Would you feel despaired by feeling guilty?

guilt is a very heavy feeling to be loading around. guilt is the factor of knowing you did something wrong. so most likely anyone who has guilt for something they did, will feel despair because they know they messed up. but along with guilt comes such a thing as forgiveness. if you admit that you are wrong, and as long as what you did wasn't so severe that the person feels like you can not be forgiven, then if the person sees you are truly sorry for what you did and if they care about you they will forgive you. forgiveness is something that we must all possess in this life. the saying is to forgive but not forget. that means, once you forgive someone it's your way of saying "it's okay THIS ONE TIME, but I won't forget, and if you do it again I won't be able to accept that"

Why is it important to forgive?

Have you ever held a grudge? Are you holding one right now? If so how long are you going to hold that grudge before forgiving them? Will it be days, weeks, years? Today I want you to ask yourself the questions, why is it important to forgive? Well if you don't know why, keep reading on and I will try to explain why it is important to forgive. First of all, not forgiving can lead to not only spoiling the relationship with that person, but also with their family and friends. For the simple fact that you refuse to forgive can lead to people losing trust in you. This may have long lasting effects on that friendship even if you choose to forgive later. Lastly, that person may be truly sorry for what they did and are hoping that you forgive them. All it may take is a simply and short "I forgive you" to regain this aquantance's trust back. As long as that person is sorry for what they did it will be easy to get back what friendship you may have lost. In conclusion, you should forgive because it may cause you to lose other relationships, they other person may be sorry for what they did and are hoping that you will forgive them, and lastly it is easy to do and may solve everything. NOTE: I did this for an online essay and got a TWO out of SIX but i guess it does kinda suck. comment on my pag and tellme if it sux
