The Bible says Jesus will bring all christians to heaven with him, so it is possible, but unlikely. His first death was to forgive christians for all their sins. There would be no reason to die again.

Who do Seventh-Day-Adventist celebrate the Passover?

The SDA belief on the passover is that it was a ceremony pointing to Jesus. The lamb that was killed and used as a mark to protect the children for Israel's first born from death in Egypt, symbolized Jesus, who was also killed. If we accept Jesus in our lives, he will also protect from eternal death. In the last supper, Jesus gave the outline of how we should keep the passover (we call itcommunion). It no longer points to the first coming of Jesus, but now to His second coming. Read Mark 14 for all the details.

What happened at Caesarea Philippi?

Mark's Gospel consists of a parallel structure, which is a literary sequence in which an opening set of events is contrasted with another set of events that parallels the first. The opening set begins with John explaining the coming of Jesus, followed by the baptism and the voice of God from heaven, and ends with Jesus predicting his death. The contrasting structure begins with the Transfiguration of Jesus and the voice of God from heaven, and ends with the crucifixion, followed by the young man explaining the departure of Jesus. Mark contrasted John's announcement of the coming of Jesus with the young man's explanation of the departure of Jesus. The Gospel contrasts the baptism and the voice from heaven with the Transfiguration and the voice from heaven. And it uses the prediction by Jesus of his death, after they travelled into the towns of Caesarea Philippi (Mark 8:27) at the end of the first set , to contrast with the actual death in the second set.

What are your preparations for the coming of Jesus?

A:The apostle Paul expected the return of Jesus within his own lifetime. From what Paul said, he was preparing people for that second coming, not so much to build a church that would last down through the centuries. The author of the first New Testament gospel, now known as Mark's Gospel, agrees with Paul and also expected the second coming within the lifetimes of some of his own generation. This did not occur as expected, and the later evangelists had to emphasise that no one knows when Jesus will come. Other predictions of the imminent return of Jesus have been made quite frequently down through the centuries. If there ever will be a Second Coming of Jesus, it seems most unlikely that it will occur in the lifetimes of anyone alive today. There is no preparation appropriate for this life, and we could never know how to begin to prepare in the next, if indeed there is a life after death.

Why is Easter important to Christmas?
