Will Nintendo DSi system update affect the playability of flashcarts?

yes but it depends if you try and do something to it. you may need a AceKard 2i (as far as i know) but it may work with r4i cards or ttdsi cards or any other sort ypu may have, i don't know.

anyway try this (this is what i found):

1. Remove the flash cart.

2. Update the system software

3. download browser

4. turn off wireless communication and then insert the flash cart.

5. everything works fine...Yipieee

Ps: please do not turn the wireless connection while having your flashcart insetted in the DSi, this may cause Nintendo to detect your flashcart and may blacklist your DSi.

Everything should hopefully work fine, if you stick with this. im guessing its saying that everytime you want to use your flashcard, turn of the wireless connection, and when you need to turn it on to use the browser, make sure your flashcrd is out. that's my oppinion.
