Yes, only Nyquil doesn't show up as Nyquil, it can show up as cocaine, THC, and other legal meds such as oxycontin. So, be sure and mention to your Dr. or whoever, that you have taken Nyquil in the past 2 or 3 days.=Annabelle50=

∙ 12y agoCough medicine? Usually contains dxm , most of the time mixed with paracetamol . This is because in high doses the active ingredient of NyQuil (dxm) is a recreational dissasociative drug. It is mixed in with paracetamol to combat the issue of abuse as to achieve consumption of the recreational dosage of dxm the user would also have to consume large amounts of the paracetamol which can be extremely dangerous and fatal , thus sending you to hospital or killing you instead of getting you high (:. So , the short answer is NO. NyQuil will certainly not show up as amphetamines on a drug test as to do so the Nyquil( cough medicine!!) would have to contain either amphetamines any of it's many derivatives Like dextroamphetamine for expletive. However it does not , that would break FDA regulations and not be suitable for an OTC cough medication , so don't worry , I'm positive your fine(:

Nyquil is an over-the-counter medication, meaning you do not need a prescription to obtain it. It is not illegal. No employer drug test that I know of would deny you employment for having used Nyquil (assuming you're not using it at work!). I don't even think it has components that are tested for in a standard drug test.
