You can use a charger for the PS3 controllers, but the USB cord for the PS3 controllers works as a charger.The chargers they sell plug into the wall and not the PS3 USB ports. I also use the USB on my TV to charge my controller because it does not shutoff when the PS3 is off and purchased extra Sony PS3 USB cables to enable me to charge more than one controller

∙ 13y agoIt can sometimes. If it plugs in to the DVD player and they both have the same Volts then yes. Make sure they take the same Voltage or you may destroy your DVD player or charger.
