Currently, Webkinz is still an active website dedicated to ketting young children have fun on the internet while learning the important reponsibilities of caring for a young animal. It has had a MAJOR decrease in popularity and users. Right now websites like Club Penguin and Facebook are more popular. Eventually, Webkinz will permanately shut down, because nothing lasts forever, but it will be around for a while for children to cherish for years and years to come.

no after you add webkinz to your account it will stay open until your time is up. Just keep adding so it does not shut down.
