The 87-up intakes have a little different angle on the 4 center holes. Aftermarket versions have these holes enlarged to accomodate the different angle.

fuel injection
To change from fuel injection to a carburetor on a 1987 Chevy 454, you'll need to remove the existing fuel injection system, including the intake manifold and the injectors. Next, install a compatible intake manifold designed for carburetors. You'll also need to install a carburetor, ensuring it's appropriately sized for your engine's specifications. Finally, connect a fuel line with the correct pressure regulator, as carburetors typically require lower fuel pressure than fuel injection systems.
Intake Air Temperature. Is used to calculate air density for the fuel injection
It's typically a "throttle body" injection vehicle. The box that sits on top of the intake manifold is called the throttle body, and the injectors are in there.
The same year they changed over to electronic fuel injection for all Chevy V-8 engines. Either 1984 or 1985.
70% are fuel injection. 1989 is the last year carbeautors where made and da first year fuel injection was created... my Chevy capric classic 89 is a fuel injection
To change a Chevy 305 from fuel injection to carburetion, you'll need to remove the fuel injection system, including the intake manifold, injectors, and associated wiring. Replace it with a compatible carbureted intake manifold and install a carburetor of your choice. Additionally, you'll need to adjust the fuel supply by using a mechanical fuel pump or an appropriate electric pump, and ensure the fuel lines and return lines are modified as necessary. Lastly, make sure to tune the ignition system for optimal performance with the carburetor setup.
If you have CFI (Central Fuel Injection) the "spider" would be found under the upper intake manifold. The upper intake manifold has to be removed to gain access. If you have TBI (Throttle Body Injection) it doesn't have a "spider".
*With Fuel Injection: **Inside the fuel tank *Without Fuel Injection
Throttle body injections (TBI) have what is callled a wet intake where the fuel is sprayed into the intake instead of the intake runners with port fuel injection. The fuel vaporizes and can make the air cleaner smell like gas.
Yes it does. It has TBI / Throttle body injection, Fuel system.
