double check that it's the motor most times it's the resister for the fan speed In the firewall on the passenger side of the truck is the blower motor speed resister coils, they burn out alot. I could not find one for my Dakota so I got one from a dodge caravan and I changed the wirring, that is the most likely problem

There is no air conditioning fan on a 1992 dakota.

On Dakota trucks it should be mounted on the right fender. Other pickups probably use the same location.

Clearly Dodge Dakota, because the F150 can't go that fast with a little V6 or V8 and the Dakota has either a V6 or V8 magnum. Actually, the 1992 Dodge Dakota also came equipped with 4 cylinder engines, so without knowing which truck had which engine and which transmission and gear ratios each has, there is no way to tell which would be faster.

The wiring harness will not work. In 1992, Dodge introduced the "Magnum" series motors. These motors were MPFI (Multi-Point Fuel Injection) motors whereas the motor in the 1990 Dakota was TBI (Throttle Body Injection.) On this fact alone, you'll be missing the connections required for the fuel system if you use the wiring harness. The computer management systems were also vastly different so you would not be able to plug into the Engine Control Unit (ECU) with the wiring harness.

The neutral safety switch is on the side of the transmission. It screws into the side and has a small three wire plug.
