no
As long as it is the same displacement. Liters/cid. It should
if it is the same size engine all parts should fit.cavaliers from 1995 through 2004 are the same
Yes the 2.2 liter 2001 Chevy Cavalier does have an interference engine. This means the valve and pistons share the same space in the engine.
Well yes and no. Both have a 2.2 four cylinder if I'm not mistaken, but I don't think the earlier Cavalier's have the EcoTec motor. And you should be able to get the engine from the '03 into the '97 with no problem.
They are one and the same engine.
if it is the same motor yes, but some may have different mounts or wiring plugs
You can swap the engine from your 1997 Cavalier 2.2 liter engine to your 2000 Chevy Cavalier. The wiring harness and motor mounts should be in exactly the same.
yep its the same size engine bay as long as you got motor and transmission ur good
if it is the same size. 3.1 for 3.1 or 2.2 for 2.2 go ahed and do it. you may need to switch intake or exhaust manifolds so all the wires and such line up.
Pontiac Sunbird Pontiac Sunbird
I don't see why not they were the exact same car from1995 thru 1999.
I have a 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier. I believe it has the same engine. 2.4L DOHC 4-CYL = About 150 HP Stock.
