yes, im guessing its a stock d series engine. if both had vtec you will ned minor modifications and if the new engine has vtec where as the 95 did not, you will need a new computer/ wire harness. motor mounts will be the same as well

1995 is not same as 1997 Civic Sun visor. The 1995 Sun visors fit the 5th Generation of Civics, from 1991 to 1995. The 1997 Sun visors fit the 6th Generation, from 1996 to 2000. See the related link.
The 1997 Honda Civic cruise control module can be found on the firewall in the engine compartment. The cruise control module will be on the drivers side of the firewall.
If a check engine light is appearing when the car starts then the ECU is receiving an alert from somewhere in the engine. The computer should receive a diagnostic test which will provide an answer as to why the check engine light appeared on the 1997 Honda Civic.
