no it will not even fit into the port as themanufacturer's who designed the new ddr3 ram did not want you to blow it up in a ddr2 motherboard port so they made i so that it would not physically fit, so unfortunately if you want this new faster ram you will have to get a new board and maybe processor.

∙ 12y agoI know that 204 pin memory will not work on 200 pin slot. but vice versa ... I have no idea.
Apple, Dell and few more Giants of computing world created 200 pin memory cards instead of 204-pin to have all the sales to themselves.
I have a dell DDR3 200-pin on my system and I have to buy my upgrade from dell for double the price or trust the low quality illegally copied Chinese ones ... between a rock and a hard place!
