The size of the 4.3L motor would make this conversion very difficult. Plus the fact the 4.3l from an Astro van has a rear wheel drive transmission on in, and your Cavalier is front wheel drive. You either have to find a front wheel drive transmission that will bolt up to the 4.3 ( I don't know of any), or convert your Cavalier to rear wheel drive. Which is possible (anything is POSSIBLE), but very hard, requiring lots of fabrication.
hell no haha it usually had the same 2.2L and main difference was the front lip and rear spoiler the z24 had the 2.4L engine, with better suspension. the 'rally sport' came riced out from the factory (aesthetic upgrades without ANY performance or suspension upgrades, relative to the base model)

My 2003 is good for about 110+. The motor may have had a few rpms left, but the suspensions floats at that speed and I wasn't willing to go any faster. *If you disable the governor you will be able to go about 125mph, if not you will hit a limit of about 115mph. The suspension is fully capable of 125mph and with aftermarket bolt ons, upgraded computer chip (like SCT), and lowering your height with suspension upgrades you can reach 144mph. I would not attempt that speed without suspension upgrades as your car may not be able to hug the road. If you turbocharge your car the sky is the limit, as you will be lifted off the ground and into the sky without proper downforce past 155mph.*
the modern upgrades are that they have security improvement with detectors.
