Depends on several things, but normally yes. Under optimal conditions a 7 ah battery will deliver 7 amps for 1 hour, or 1 amp for 7 hours, or 0.5 amps for 14 hours....you get the picture.

Can you use a 12v 12ah battery instead of a 12v 8ah battery?

The Ah (amp hour) rating of a battery is a measure of it's capacity. A 33Ah battery, when fully charged, will deliver 33 amps for one hour, or 11 amps for 3 hours, etc.A 7 Ah battery will only last about 20% as long as a 33Ah battery.

What is the difference between Trickle charge and boost charge of a battery?

It's in the amount of current that is used to charge the battery. If the amp-hour (Ah) capacity of the battery is known, charging at the 5-hour rate or quicker would count as a boost charge, while charging at the 20-hour rate or slower would be a trickle charge. So for a 40 Ah battery, a boost charge is more than 8 amps while a trickle charge is less than 2 amps. A normal charge would be 4 amps.

How long will a 12 volt battery provide 100 watts?

Depends on the capacity, the ampere-hours. As watts/volts = current, 100W will mean a current of 8.3A So basically if you had a 83Ah(amp-hours) battery, it would last for one hour. A 41Ah battery would last half an hour. A 166Ah battery would last two hours.

Can You use Cr 2032 instead Cr 2025 batteries How Does the difference in mAh affect it?

The 'mAh' or 'AH' number of any battery is an indication of its capacity when it's operated at the specified load. The CR2025 and CR2032 have the same specified load. So either one may be used in a device that calls for either one or the other, and the one with the greater 'mAh' number will last longer.

What is difference in a 12 volt 12ah battery verse a 35ah 12 battery?

Ah is amp hours. It describes the capacity of the battery. A bit like the size of a fuel tank. The 12 Ah battery can deliver 12 amps for one hour, 24 amps for 1/2 hour or 6 amps for two hours. Or any other combination of time x amps that makes 12. The 35 amp hour battery is almost three times the capacity of the 12 amp hour battery.

Current multiplied by time equals?

AmpereHours - this sort of unit (Ah or mAh) is used to describe the capacity of a battery - the higher the number the longer it will last (it is why you pay more for 2400mA rechargeable AA batteries than for 1400mAh ones)

How long will a Battery of 7.4 Volts 700 Amp-Hour last?

The voltage doesn't enter into the issue. If the current draw of your battery-powered equipment is 1 Ampere, the battery will last 700 years. If your equipment draws 1/2 Ampere, the battery will last 1,400 hours. If your equipment draws 2 Amperes, the battery will last 350 hours. And so on.CorrectionA 700 AH battery will THEORETICALLY last 70 hours at 1 amp current draw. A 700 AH battery will THEORETICALLY last 140 hours at 1/2 amp current draw.A 700 AH battery will THEORETICALLY last 35 hours at 1/2 amp current draw. The theoretical capacity of a battery is always greater than the actual capacity; electrical energy is released in the form of heat inside the battery.

Describe the difference of V and Ah in a battery?

V is the batteries rated voltage. Ah is the amp-hour of the battery. This is a rating of how many amps it can supply for a given period of time. For example a 600 Ah battery with a 100 A load means that the battery should last 6 hours.

Can a 12V 10Ah battery be used in a motorcycle that's supposed to use a 12V 9Ah battery?

That should be no problem, since the voltage is the same. The 10 Ah simply means the battery will store more energy, and therefore last longer.

How long will a 5.4 ah battery last?

It would depend on the power consumption of the device in use.

What is the difference between 12V 12AH Battery and 12V 15AH Battery?

The AH means Amp Hours and is a measure of how much electricity the battery can store. Thus if the 12AH and 15AH batteries were connected to THE SAME device (one after the other) the 15AH battery would run the device for longer than the 12AH battery.

Would a 36V 230 Ah 6hr 335 Ah 20hr traction battery charge on a DC volts24v DCamps20A battery charger?

NO, in order to 'charge' a battery, the charging device must be at a higher voltage than the battery in order for current to flow to the battery.

Does more ah in a battery mean its stronger?

Depends on what you mean by stronger. Ah stands for ampere hour, which is a unit of energy. A battery with 1 Ah can deliver a current of 1 Ampere for 1 hour, or 2 Amperes for 30 minutes, etc. The voltage of a battery tells you how much current the battery will produce through a given resistance; more voltage is probably closer to what you mean by stronger, since knowing the current and the voltage allows you to know the power released by the battery. So, for a given resistance, more voltage = more power released by the battery. So: more Ah is like having a larger gas tank; more voltage is like having more horse power.

How long to charge dead laptop battery?

Check and see how many Ah (Amper hours) your battery is. If it is for a gas/gasoline car, then it is probably around 42 Ah; batteries for diesel are usually around 72 Ah. Check the power of your battery charger. It should be something between 4-6 A. You must divide the battery capacity by the charger strength to get the time necessary. For example: your battery is 42 Ah and your charger is 6 A. Then the time needed will be 42 Ah / 6 A = 7 h. Charge your battery no longer than 7 h. Please note that overcharging the battery permanently damages it.

Can you replace a battery that is rated at 4ah with a larger ah battery?

Yes, it mAh or Ah is how long the battery lasts, it does not affect performance.

What does mah mean to ah in batteies?

mAh stands for Milliamp hours. mAh is the rating for how much energy the battery can store. The more mAh, the longer the battery will last. Ah is amp hours. On a 6V battery for either a golf cart, scissor lift, forklift, ect. One rating you could see would be 20A/h-232Ah This means that a healthy battery will put out 20 amps per hour with a total of 232amp hours. Therefor that batter will last 11.6 hours at a constant 20amps per hour drain.

Could you change 35 ah 12v battery with 45 ah 12v?

Yes, in theory. The 45Ah will be physically bigger, so you need the correct space and fastening. There will be no problems with charging or with other equipment on the vehicle. It will give you more starts and last longer with the lights on and stereo playing with the engine off.
