Yes it will. All the engine parts are the same for the KA24 2.4L model, I'm not so sure about the KA24DE, probably a little different. I am currently, upgrading my hardbody engine with the 240's intake manifold and header. They are the exact same motors.
I would have to say yes BUT what part are you changing?? You can change the engine if you want but it is hard.

so far with mine you have to make sure the air cleaner is bolted down or the engine surges hwhile holding the pedal still and just yesterday 4 out of 6 of my bell housing bolts were loose

disconnect your battery. disconnect the cable(s) on the starter. remove bolts from starter. pull starter out from bellhousing. enjoy life as you know it. eat crackers and tacos.
