What does the neutral safety switch cause. Does it cause serious hesitation or what make the car want to stop or what because that is what my car is doing . And I'm told that this switch is the problem.

At the pivot point of the clutch pedal, underneath the dash. Very hard to get to. I would take the driver's seat out. That will make it easier.

the answer is the neutral saifty switch relays the starting signal to starter the neutral safety switch relays the starting signal to starter from ignition switch they look the same but plug up different make sure you have right neutral switch
The neutral safety switch SHOULD be screwed into the side (normally drivers) of the transmission and will have 2 leads going from it.

the neutral safety switch is on the front of trans , unscrew the four screws that hold up the plastic cover, remove it then look at front of tran it will be right there.it will have the shifter cable attatached to it. loosen the bolt an make shure to put the van in neutral there will be a small hole at the top of the shifting nob put a small brill bit through the hole an through the safety switch this will aline the two an should start,
If you assume that transmission is in a good condition, the only thing which can do to that is neutral safety switch.
