It has a single cam. But the question is confusing. Usually it is asked if it is a single or dual overhead cam when it is overhead head cam. Your engine is a pushrod, which was only offered in single cam
In the engine block (in valley area between banks), on pushrod OHV (Over Head Valve engines). In the cylinder head on SOHC(Single Over Head Cam) or DOHC (Dual Over Head Cam) engines Your Cadillac Catera is a 3 Liter, V6 24valve "DOHC"
Instead of using the head of D13B2, use the head of D15B3 instead , which is the carbed version from the D15B2 so the head should fit perfectly on your D15B2 block, you should get the head of the D15B3 and the manifold and the carb, also note that it has a single carb, not dual.
It will, but it is way more work than you are going to want to do. Lots of conversions. It is better and cheaper to just buy a used ka24de, you can find the, quite cheap these days because people pull them to install sr20det.
In a word ...NO !
You either have the 3.0 liter " Vulcan " V6 engine , which is an over head valve / pushrod design or the 3.0 liter " Duratec " which is a DOHC ( dual over head cam ) design
you could have the 3.0 L - " Vulcan " - over head valve ( OHV ) engine or the 3.0 L - " duratec " - dual over head cam ( DOHC ) engine in your 1997 Ford Taurus
if the are both single over head cams or if they are both dual over head cams they will fit
yes
The power steering pump has nothing to do with the motore being single-overhead cam or dual-over head cam. Look and see if it says on the rocker-cover SOHC or DOHC single or dual.
depends on the engine if its a single over head cams it has a belt if a dual over head has a chain
In a 2000 Ford Escort : The 2.0 liter four cylinder engine in the ZX2 model is a Dual Over Head Cam The 2.0 liter four cylinder engine in a sedan is a Single Over Head Cam
